Freshly Squeezed III - a briefing on Housing Associations: an effective tool for tough jobs.

Associate Briefing at NIFHA

During the third Associate briefing Chris Williamson, NIFHA Chief Executive, presented attendees with the movement's perspective on the budget crisis he also gave some 'home truths about housing associations and presented the arguement for housing associations as a toolkit and solution.

Freshly Squeezed II - a briefing on Code Level 5 developments and Election 2010

Delegates at the Associate Briefing 11 March 2010

At the second Associate Briefing delegates were given details of NIFHA's Affordable Homes manifesto for the General Elections 2010.

They were also given a presentation from Oaklee Homes' Director of Operations, Niall Sheridan, on the association's Code Level 5 development in Carryduff.

Representatives from a variety of our housing association members joined NIFHA Associates at the Hilton where they had an opportunity to network over breakfast before and after the presentations.

Freshly Squeezed - a breakfast briefing

Associate Briefing 18 Sept 09

The inaugral Associate Briefing took place on 18 Sept 09.

Those who attended were given an overview of the housing association sector in NI. An analysis of the current challenges facing housing assocations including Procurement, Private Borrowing and Housing Legislation was delivered.

Representatives from NIFHA Council together with NIFHA's Chief Executive discussed a variety of topics relating to the future of social housing and it's impact on the Northern Ireland economy and community. Planning and procurment topped the agenda along with the effects of the credit crunch.
