NIFHA Events

Terms and Conditions

We recommend you book NIFHA events as soon as possible:

  • places may be limited, early booking will ensure your place; and
  • to avoid event cancellation due to perceived lack of interest.

Please note: priority will be given to NIFHA members if an event is over subscribed.

NIFHA requires a completed on-line booking to reserve your place at any event.

NIFHA will invoice your organisation and payment may be made by BACS or cheque within the terms of credit offered (strictly 30 days from date of invoice).  A receipt will be issued only on request.

Your booking will be confirmed immediately by email and approximately one week prior to the event you will receive a follow up confirmation.  If you receive no confirmation emails please check with NIFHA.

Cancellation of events by NIFHA

If, by the closing date, NIFHA has not received sufficient bookings to make an event viable we reserve the right to cancel.  If NIFHA cancels an event the fee(s) will be refunded in full.

If you cancel

For those unable to attend an event, a substitute delegate may be sent at any time at no extra charge.

An administration fee of £10 (plus VAT) will apply to cancellations received in writing more than 5 working days prior to the event date. For cancellations received after this time the full fee will be charged.

Other events (eg conferences) may have a scale of cancellation charges – see below. These charges will be listed in the confirmation email, information or booking form for that event.

We must be notified of any cancellations in writing, by email, fax or letter to NIFHA. In all cases cancellations within 5 working days will be charged at the full rate.

Non-attendance at free of charge events

Please note if you fail to turn up at a free of charge event, for which you booked a place, a fee of £15 (plus VAT) will be charged if you do not cancel prior to the event.

Conference cancellations

Please note for conferences the following cancellation rates will apply for delegates, sponsors and exhibitor/sponsors:

  • 20% up to one month
  • 50% between one month and 14 days
  • full charge thereafter

When delegates and/or exhibitor/sponsors who have booked are unable to attend a substitute may be sent at no extra cost.  If additional exhibitor/sponsor places are needed a small charge may be applicable.

For Exhibitor / Sponsors

Exhibitor/sponsors are responsible for supplying their stand.  The stand must be of an acceptable quality to the organizers. The exhibitor/sponsor must advise the organisers of any stand over 2.5m high to ensure there will be sufficient clearance between it and the ceiling, and any stand over 2m long to ensure that there will be sufficient space allocated.

All materials used in the stand must be non-flammable and fireproofed to comply with fire and safety regulations.  The exhibitor/sponsor is not permitted to exceed or overhang any space allocated for their stand so we recommend you pay particular attention to the dimensions provided by NIFHA.  Displays must not, in the opinion of organisers, interfere with the lighting, impede the view of the other stands or inconvenience the public or other exhibitor/sponsors.

No goods shall be sold from any exhibition stand.  Exhibitor/sponsors may not distribute literature from any location on the premises except from their own stand or in the conference pack/bag for which there may be a charge.

Each exhibitor/sponsor is responsible for security and insurance on their stand and will be responsible for all damage to property and for any loss or injury caused by them or their agents or employees, and will indemnify the organisers against all claims and expenses arising thereof.  A copy of the exhibitor’s/sponsor’s Certificate of Public Liability Insurance must be provided to NIFHA prior to exhibiting.

Under no circumstances will the NIFHA, their agents, staff or members accept responsibility for any loss or damage whatsoever or howsoever arising.

Data Collection and Purpose Specification

We collect the personal data that you may volunteer while using our website. Personal data is solely collected for the reasons we have listed:

  • Technical administration of the website
  • Customer administration
  • Marketing and training purposes.

Disclosure and Visitor Choice

We do not disclose your personal data to other organisations.

Confidentiality & Security

Any personal data collected through this website will be treated as confidential in line with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Your personal data will not be disclosed to state institutions and authorities except if required by law or other regulation.
