Westminster Elections 2010 discussed with SDLP

Representatives from NIFHA met with the SDLP’s policy team to discuss our General Election 2010 Manifesto.Although much of housing is devolved there are some areas of housing which have UK-wide importance. During the meeting NIFHA’s Chief Executive, Chris Williamson, detailed the UK-wide ‘asks’ which include:
- Ensure new supply to avoid a further housing crisis;
- Act now on the impact of housing on climate change; and
- Promote financial inclusion.
These points were agreed with our sister organisations from the rest of the UK. In addition to these Chris raised a couple of Northern Ireland specific points: Labour Mobility and EU Public Procurement.
