Policy & Research
The Housing Policy and Research Department within NIFHA has responsibility for these two key areas of the Federation’s business, as well as some other auxiliary issues:
- support on all key issues of housing policy and practice
- research and statistics
- representation
- consultation
Staff provide information and advice on the impact of any legislative changes and/or departmental directives on registered housing associations in Northern Ireland. They offer representation and support for and on behalf of members and liaise closely with primary stakeholders including the Department for Social Development and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.
