PROPERTY DATABASE

NIFHA also maintains a large database of housing association property. 

This database consists of around 30,000 records holding information on variables such as the address, property type, design occupancy ratio, source of heating and year of construction. Housing associations provide this data whilst NIFHA is responsible for co-ordinating the database and providing reports to housing associations and other governmental agencies.

Objectives of the PROPERY database

The PROPERTY database is a valuable resourse and is widely used for a number of strategic purposes and also to provide information to public representatives.  The main aims of the PROPERTY database can be summarised as follows:

1. To enable associations to systematically record key information about the properties they own.
2. To ensure that stock information for all housing associations is up to date and available from one central source (ie NIFHA).
3. To make strategic use of the PROPERTY database, thus strengthening the role of housing associations in providing affordable homes for those in need.

PROPERTY DATABASE 2005
