Supporting People

The Supporting People programme offers vulnerable people the opportunity to improve their quality of life. It provides a stable environment helping to create more independence. The programme aims to deliver high quality, strategically planned housing-related services.

Quality Assurance Framework review by Supporting People

The Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) has been in operation for over five years.  To ensure it remains a framework which assists in continually improving the quality of housing-related support services the Supporting People (SP) Team intends refreshing and streamlining it during 2009-10.

Interim QAF

As a temporary measure the SP Team has put in place an interim version of the QAF which may be viewed by clicking on: Interim QAF.  They anticipate introducing the updated version in 2010.  Please note:  it is only necessary to complete the highlighted standards in the interim QAF for each core objective of the QAF for both self-validation and the associated action plan.

Annual QAF

From 2009-10 Supporting People will require the QAF to be submitted annually.  This will be phased in through each NIHE SP stakeholder area over the year.  To help with its implementation the SP Team will be holding information events during the year.  The annual QAF will be rolled out when the event takes place in each area.
