Ben Collins, NIFHA Chief Executive said:
“We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to all the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in London. Our thoughts are also with the extended families and residents of all those affected.
“Following the incident, we have contacted all our housing association members who remain committed to ensuring that fire safety remains a top priority at all times. Our members continue to perform fire risk assessments, as well as ensuring all fire-fighting equipment and related signage is up-to-date and compliant. As always, the safety of tenants is of the utmost importance for housing associations.
“If there are any lessons to be learned following the investigation into the cause of the fire, we will certainly relay these to our members.”
